After a double session this week to correct mistakes and hopefully turn their season around AFC faced fellow strugglers South Perth with both teams feeling the pressure to pick up the win and bag the important three points.
In a much more positive start for AFC, they found themselves with a ton of possession and a fair few chances to start the game in what was a change from previous weeks. Arguably AFC’s two most vital players Andrija Jukic and Nathan Thorp continued their chemistry on court with a well taken through ball from Thorp calmly slotted home for Jukic who has found his scoring touch the last few weeks.
However unable to sustain the same energy and pressure, the AFC lads bad habits slowly crept back in from previous weeks and seasonal campaigners for South Perth Filip Rojinca, Dilan Patel and Victor See took full advantage and led a young South Perth side to a comfortable win.
A much more improved effort from AFC but still unable to put a complete 40min performance together just yet.
