Two teams struggling in the SFL to begin the season, now to two teams finding some momentum in the last few weeks and picking up points against some strong opposition. The two new comers faced off on Friday Night both desperate to close the gap on the top half of the table.
Perth AFC started the better side with some slick ball movement and quick passes opening up Balga on many possessions going forward and it didn’t take long for the return of Andrija Jukic after a week off to put AFC up 1-0.
Second half started much the same with Balga lifting there defensive game however they couldn’t stop Jukic who completed off his hat trick in a matter of minutes and was also involved in the build up for another great team goal finished off by Steven Forbes.
Up 4-1 it could of been a lot more if it wasnt for the upright but Balga have proven over this season that they are not ones to lay down and went fifth man for majority of the second half. This proved dividends with ex AFC man Matthew Dudek scoring a brace to help his side back in the match.
A tense last few minutes saw AFC struggling to hold the ball allowing Balga to press forward for the equaliser, and eventually they found it through Gideon Servatius who once again was the hero for Balga FC as he helped them salvage another late equaliser.

AFC 4 drew Balga FC 4
