For most, this season has had an experimental feel to it. Disrupted by covid, there would be no relegation or promotion. Nothing to play for, some might say. But the dedication and commitment shown by many of the metro regulars throughout the season was admirable.
On that note, I want to thank everyone who represented the metro side this year. For me, the highlights were the victory away to Melville - our first win with the regular group - the come from behind victory away at Kwinana, and Michael Ma's brace from outside the box against Armadale.
I'm already looking forward to the challenge of next season, and this group can realistically aim to challenge the likes of Peel, Baldivis and Belmont, as well as having individual ambitions of staking a claim in the amateur teams.
