"Waiting for one of the other WSFL games to go our way so that we would still have a chance at a top 4 finish didn't pan out the way we hoped.
Going into the game against Spearwood Lions we felt that we were a strong chance to take the points and finish the season on a high. Resting some key players as the game was a dead rubber didn't stop the girls from going all out in a thumping 7-0 win.
Another fantastic performance from the girls with a couple of the draft girls earning a chance for the taste of the WSFL.
The draft game saw another AFC style fight back as they came back to draw 5-5.
I could not be more proud of the girls this season even though we just missed out on a top 4 spot. Seeing the growth of the draft team and how strong the WSFL side can be when they turn it on is a great preview in to where we are heading in the future.
